Noodopvang Delden (Sportlaan)
Aparthotel Delden on Sportlaan has repeatedly been used for short-term COA asylum reception. After an initial winter 2022-2023 stint housing families and couples, a wing of the hotel was used from March 2024 to house around 50 unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (amv). In June 2024 those young people had to move temporarily into tents on the hotel grounds because part of the building was reserved for athletes attending the annual FBK Games, with a planned return to the hotel in early August.

Cost
Dutch asylum reception is funded by central government through the COA. At an illustrative benchmark of about €184 per person per night for emergency reception (noodopvang), the 50 people recorded here on 13 August 2025 imply roughly €3.4m per year. This is an order-of-magnitude figure for context only, not a site-specific invoice — emergency reception typically runs around three times the cost of a regular centre.
