Uso histórico. Este establecimiento turístico se utilizó para alojamiento temporal de migrantes en 2020-21, a petición de Cruz Roja, mientras se preparaban los recursos estatales. No consta que se utilice para acogida en la actualidad. Los hechos recogidos aquí proceden de la prensa canaria de la época y de la sentencia del Tribunal Supremo STS 197/2023, cuyo objeto era un conflicto laboral de personal de seguridad y no la conducta del establecimiento.
Hotel complex in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria, used for temporary migrant accommodation managed by the Spanish Red Cross while state reception facilities were being prepared. Named among eight establishments in Supreme Court judgment STS 197/2023 and in local reporting on that ruling. No individual resident numbers for this complex have been published. Security contract changes hands
As people moved from hotels into the state camps, the security contract passed along a chain: Eulen Seguridad under the Red Cross, then the state company Tragsa engaging Ilunion (ONCE), then Eulen again, then Cenpol Seguridad. Eulen had 55 workers on the roster; Cenpol took on 25.

Supreme Court rules the 30 left out were unlawfully dismissed
The Supreme Court held that Cenpol's refusal to take on the remaining thirty security guards amounted to an unlawful collective dismissal, ordering their immediate reinstatement and back pay from 26 August 2021. The judgment is the reason the eight establishments are named in a public record at all.
