Sites that sources link to the government's Afghan resettlement schemes are not asylum accommodation and are listed separately at the foot of the page. Sources link these sites to the government's Afghan resettlement schemes, which are separate from the asylum system. Each page says what the sources report for that site. They are shown in grey on the map and are not counted in the number of sites above or in any asylum capacity, cost or total.

How sites are added to this directory

Every site profiled here required at least one mainstream UK press source or an official government record (NAO, Home Office FOI, council planning record, Hansard) naming the site as asylum accommodation. Where two or more sources independently confirmed the placement we treated the evidence as primary; where sourcing was thin we either dropped the candidate or held it pending further reporting.
