  • 20 December 2015 · Reported (police statement)

The Police of the Czech Republic said that the escape of three foreigners from the facility on 20 December 2015 was confirmed. They were from Afghanistan, Libya and Algeria and got out after the internal fence between blocks was breached. Police said they posed no security risk and most likely meant to seek protection in another EU state.

official source

The Refugee Facilities Administration (SUZ) runs the state asylum facilities and also detention. Capacity and occupancy come from the AIDA Czech Republic 2025 update (June 2026), which received them from SUZ: capacity is for 2025, and occupancy by centre is for the end of 2024 because figures for 2025 were not available. Each is dated on this page. Capacity is a number of places and not a headcount, and the occupancy figures are not current. Addresses are from SUZ's page for each facility, and positions are derived from those addresses. The cost published is for the whole agency, CZK 939.8m in 2025, detention and other services included, so no site shows a cost. Incidents come from news outlets, the police or official reports, each named and dated, with the stage that was reported. A facility that works like detention is labelled so.
