Abbeyville House
1850s listed former B&B in Fermoy, Co. Cork, opened for IPAS families in March 2024 (around 56 residents) after an 18-week gate protest. Inspectors described it as well run. While it was being renovated in November 2023 a person threw a homemade petrol bomb at the building; Gardaí investigated and no charge was reported.

Petrol bomb thrown during renovation
While the listed building was being renovated for planned IPAS use, a person threw what was understood to be a homemade petrol bomb at it at around 9pm on 22 November 2023, causing minimal damage. Gardaí opened a criminal damage investigation; no arrest, charge or named suspect was reported.
