Resident charged after a centre incident
A 33-year-old man resident at the centre was charged in connection with a 30 July 2025 incident — alleged assault of a security guard and two others, around €1,000 of criminal damage, and obstructing a garda. He appeared at Mallow District Court and was later granted bail with conditions including a 5km exclusion zone from the centre; the case is before the courts. The charges are allegations only and he has not been convicted.
