Hotel set on fire before opening
Per The Irish Times, the hotel — earmarked for 100 or more asylum seekers — was set on fire at around 4am on 25 November 2018; a Garda inspector said it had been started deliberately and the owner was injured. No arrest, charge or conviction was reported.
