Emmet Lodge
Emmet Lodge is an International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) centre in Inchicore, Dublin 8, accommodating single adult men who have applied for international protection. It is one of the smaller IPAS centres. According to the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA), which named Emmet Lodge among eight IPAS centres in its 17 May 2024 publication statement, the centre was inspected in early 2024; RTE reported it was then accommodating 11 men from six countries, with residents describing staff as approachable and helpful. Echo.ie reported the centre has a capacity of 15 and was accommodating 14 single males at a December 2024 HIQA inspection, which identified that one staff member had not been garda-vetted and called for improvements in safe recruitment practices.
