Former Great Southern Hotel at Rosslare Harbour, Co. Wexford. According to RTÉ and The Irish Times, new owners agreed with IPAS to use it as an asylum centre for around 170 people (up to 400 reported); the plan met sustained protest including a Europort blockade and a suspected arson on 30 November 2023, was referred to An Bord Pleanála, and never opened. Suspected arson at the earmarked site
Per The Irish Times and RTÉ, a teleporter on the grounds was destroyed by fire at around 4am on 30 November 2023; Gardaí investigated it as suspected arson. There were no injuries and no arrests, and protest organisers condemned it.
