River House

Peaceful protest at former Revenue offices earmarked for accommodation
According to the Limerick Post, hundreds of people attended a peaceful protest at River House on Charlotte's Quay on 20 July 2024, opposing plans to use the former Revenue office building to accommodate international protection applicants. The newspaper reported the demonstration, organised under the 'Limerick Says No' banner, was peaceful and non-violent throughout, with no arrests reported. Doras CEO John Lannon was quoted opposing the protest's message. Gardaí were present.
