Ryevale House
Ryevale House (listed by gov.ie as "Ryeville House") is an 18th-century protected-structure mansion at Leixlip, Co. Kildare. According to the official gov.ie IPAS County Kildare inspection collection, it operated as an International Protection Accommodation Services (IPAS) centre and was the subject of a Q2 2025 IPAS inspection report. According to Kfm Radio and the Irish Examiner, the centre accommodated female international protection applicants — reported as 52 women in the main house and a further 45 in a coach house on the grounds. According to Gript and Kfm Radio, the State did not renew its contract with the operator (Me Libérer); the contract ended in spring 2026 and residents had been transferred to other accommodation, so the site is no longer in use as an IPAS centre.

Council enforcement notice over alleged unauthorised conversion of protected structure
According to the Irish Examiner and Gript, Kildare County Council issued a planning enforcement notice finding that the conversion of Ryevale House — a protected structure — into multi-occupancy IPAS accommodation was unauthorised development requiring planning permission, which the Department of Integration disputed. This was a civil planning matter, not a criminal proceeding.
