According to LyonMag and Lyon Capitale (December 2017), after a court ordered the evacuation of an amphitheatre at Université Lumière Lyon 2 occupied by migrants, activists requisitioned a vacant Métropole-owned building at 12 rue Baudin in Villeurbanne (known as "Amphi Z") to rehouse around 160 people; the building had previously served as winter emergency shelter.
