Centre d'hébergement d'urgence pour demandeurs d'asile — ancien hôpital Chardon-Lagache, Auteuil (Paris 16e)
Site of the former hôpital Chardon-Lagache, quartier d'Auteuil, Paris 16e (75016) · National
According to Boulevard Voltaire and reporting relayed by Orange/Dailymotion (Apr–May 2024), an emergency shelter for about 57 asylum seekers opened on 7 May 2024 in a wing of the former Chardon-Lagache hospital in Auteuil, managed by the association Aurore. A residents' collective ('Agir Ensemble pour Chardon-Lagache Auteuil') launched a petition in April and 200–300 residents protested, citing the lack of prior consultation and security fears. Note: this is a former hospital, not a hotel, included as the clearest Paris-region named-building requisition case of the period.
