According to ICI / France Bleu (Radio France, 24 May 2018), the Gymnase du Moulin in Grande-Synthe — opened by the municipality some eight months earlier to shelter migrants near the Bois du Puythouck — was evacuated of more than 400 people (about 300 inside and roughly 100 nearby), who were taken by six buses to regional reception and orientation centres.
