According to ICI / France Bleu (Radio France, 24 May 2018), the Gymnase du Moulin in Grande-Synthe, opened by the municipality some eight months earlier to shelter migrants near the Bois du Puythouck, was evacuated of more than 400 people (about 300 inside and roughly 100 nearby), who were taken by six buses to regional reception and orientation centres.
