In June 2024 the municipality of Kampen granted the COA a permit for small-scale temporary reception of asylum seekers and status holders at the Hilbert van Dijkstraat, for a maximum of 48 adults and children over two years. The site, run as a branch of the asylum centre in Dronten, took over from an earlier temporary location on the Industrieweg, with residents already integrated in the local community and a zero-tolerance policy in place.
