Background
The Office for Foreigners (UdSC) runs nine centres for people in the asylum procedure. On 31 December 2025, 716 people lived in them, and a further 6,061 people received support while living outside the centres (AIDA, updated 30 July 2026). Capacity is published only as a total: 1,525 places at the end of 2025, according to AIDA citing Office for Foreigners data of 10 April 2026. For that reason this page shows no 2025 capacity of its own for the centre. Four of the nine centres are the Office's own and five are rented.[1],[3]
The running cost shown for this centre is the 2025 figure in the Interior Ministry reply of 12 May 2026. The ministry gives no total; the sum of the nine figures is PLN 38,890,100.57 (our addition). The figures cover rent, food and utilities for a rented centre, and food, utilities, repairs and infrastructure for an owned one. They exclude staff wages, which the ministry says cannot be split by centre, and the allowances paid to the people living outside the centres. The ministry also says that an average monthly cost per resident cannot be calculated, so no per-person figure is shown.[1]
A Border Guard plan for opening additional places in guarded centres in a crisis, circulated on 21 September 2022 and quoted by the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) in a post-audit statement of 9 January 2024, lists the Czerwony Bór centre with 120 places. It is a contingency plan, not a record of use, and the figure is not the centre's reception capacity.[4]
Reported incidents
Incidents connected with this site that official or mainstream sources have reported, each attributed, with the stage reached as the source states it. Suspects are not named. Counts of police interventions are the Interior Ministry's own and are not criminal charges.
Date: 6 April 2025 · Stage: Reported
On the evening of 6 April 2025 a group gathered outside the centre. AIDA, citing Wp.pl of 8 April 2025, describes the group as "people hostile to migrants". Wprost reported on 7 April 2025 that a police spokesman said there had been no attacks and no indications of crimes, and that some participants had been identified. The Office for Foreigners said that residents of the centre pose no threat to state security (AIDA, citing Wp.pl). The sources used report no offence by residents of the centre.[3],[5]
Date: 2025 · Stage: Reported
In its reply of 12 May 2026, the Interior Ministry reported that the police carried out 2 interventions at this centre in 2025 over breaches of the centre's rules of stay. The reply does not describe the individual cases.[1]

The centres run by the Office for Foreigners (UdSC) are the nine that the Interior Ministry (MSWiA) lists in its reply to Sejm interpellation 14750 of 12 May 2026. The number of residents on 31 December 2025 and the 2025 running cost of each centre come from that reply. The ministry gives no total, and the total of PLN 38.9m used on this site is our sum of the nine figures. The running cost excludes staff wages and the allowances paid to people living outside the centres. Capacity for 2025 is published only as a total of 1,525 places (AIDA, citing Office for Foreigners data), so no centre shows a capacity of its own for 2025; where an earlier per-centre figure exists it is shown with its date. Border Guard detention is listed apart and is not accommodation: its 2025 costs and numbers held come from the ministry's replies to interpellations 14740 to 14745 (March 2026), and its places and numbers held at the end of 2025 from AIDA. The Office for Foreigners' own list of centres showed no content when we checked on 4 October 2026, so addresses and positions come from the sources named on each page and are marked approximate where they are not the publisher's own.
