Germany is federal: the Bund funds it, the Länder and municipalities run it. There is no national register, so this coverage starts city by city. Leipzig publishes no accommodation geodata, so unlike Dresden and Chemnitz there is no service to read and the coordinate here is derived from the address. What the city has instead is the clearest register of the three: a filterable list of every Gemeinschaftsunterkunft with a page per site giving address, Ortsteil, capacity and operator, backed by the Sozialamt's quarterly report to the council. Leipzig also separates its two groups, which Berlin and Bremen do not: asylum accommodation sits in one table and accommodation for people displaced from Ukraine in a table of its own holding a single site, so the population shown here is the city's own classification rather than our inference. One site, on Stannebeinplatz, is deliberately absent: two official sources give it different house numbers and a pin needs one of them to be right.
