Germany is federal: the Bund funds it, the Länder and municipalities run it. There is no national register, so this coverage starts city by city. These are state-run reception facilities, where asylum seekers are first accommodated and registered before being distributed to a municipality. Baden-Württemberg's justice and migration ministry publishes them as map data, giving its own coordinate, operating status and capacity for every site, so the position here is the ministry's rather than one we derived. What it does not publish is a street address, for any of its facilities, and none is claimed here. Its status vocabulary is carried through verbatim: "vertiefte Prüfung" and "Vorprüfung" mean a site is being examined, not that anything has been decided or built.
